She was born on May 30, 1963 as Colleen Applegate in Bellflower, California. At age 9, she moved wit her parents to Farmington, Minnesota. In high school, Colleen was involved in softball and cheerleading. After graduation in 1981, she went to work with her father’s company, but small town life was not what interested her. It wasn’t long until the bright lights of California were calling. At 18 years of age she ran off with her current boyfriend. Within 2 months of her arrival in L.A. had modeled for most of the major adult magazines. She posed for magazines such as, Hustler and Penthouse where she received $2000 a session. Soon she became interested in the hardcore video scene. She began by changing her name to Shauna Grant. Her first film, "Paper Dolls", quickly gave her the stardom she’d always wanted and the money. She made about 30 movies within a year, earning more than $100,000 and spending most of it on cocaine. It didn’t take long for the cocaine to take control resulting in Shauna’s suicide in 1984. She was just 20 years old. |
